Surprised, But Happy
Lets start by saying “why fix something that’s not broken”. My Hitachi NT65MA was stolen and I had two choices, buy the new version or go shopping. The Original Hitachi MT65MA was the best 15ga. finish nailer ever made. I chose the Hitachi MT65MA2 {new version}. Now after two fairly large projects I decided to write the review. I must say, this new gun works very bit as good as the original. I’m not sure why Hitachi decided to update this gun, but they didn’t ruin it. So if you are in the market for a great finish nailer. Give this one a try. You wont be disappointed.
Mostly Happy
Nail gun came promptly in good condition…works very well. My only complaint is that contrary to item description it did not come with a manual or no-mar tip. When I contacted the seller they said to download a manual and “sorry, it doesn’t come with a tip”.

Excellent Nailer. This is my first time using an angled finish nailer as I have never given much thought to straying away from my PC 16ga straight nailer. After trying the Bostich and being completely disappointed with their nails (loading and shorter strips), I decided to try a “DA” type angle nailer. The reviews lead me to the Hitachi. I am amazed with how much I like this gun. The blow off option is fantastic. I don’t know why this was not thought of sooner? The depth setter is excellent and helps to keep from marring the materials. It is not as light as the Bostich, but it makes up for it in functionality. “Side note – Bostich sells a profile tip pack that works great with this nailer. If you install wood floors, beaded t/g ceilings, etc., you will like this kit (TIPPAK1). If you are on the fence, don’t waste any more time, buy this gun.
Problem-Free
This finish nailer was reviewed here as the best, and I bought it for that reason. I haven’t tried anything else and see no need to. This product is solid, has performed for 2 years for me with absolutely no problems. The case makes sure that it stays in great condition.

First pneumatic nailer- success!
I usually do my homework before a purchase this being no exception. This Hitachi is esay to use, light weight, versatile- it shoots from 1 1/4 to 2 1/2 inch nails. I was able to find the nails at both Lowes and Home Depot.
I was way up on a ladder installing specialty moulding and also doing baseboard at ground level. I have been doing it for years with finishing nails and a nail punch- afraid I am now hooked on these pneumatic air nailers- about time
